Script Builder
Script Builder
Created by Anaminus, Script Builder is a coding sandbox game that was created in September 2007. It gives every player the ability to script anything within the confines of the game, the server, and its chat. The game was uncopylocked in mid 2010,[2] and it is still available to use to this day, but the game would be made private in 2018[3] — presumably due to ROBLOX's FilteringEnabled update that broke the game's functionality.
Two mirrors of the game would be made in June 2008[4] due to its popularity; although the second mirror would be turned into Script Builder V5 in 2012[5]. This version never made it past Alpha, and both mirrors are uncopylocked and private like the original.
Gameplay
Through the use of the game's chat commands, players are able to create, edit, and run their own code if they type it out through the in-game chat. This includes a few limits, such as a list of precautions that prevent the destruction of the server, but other than that — there are virtually no rules to what can be made, or done, within the game itself. The map is an empty baseplate, which essentially gives players a canvas to create and experiment with anything that they can think of.
